We got the new dog. Adopted him from the humane society Wednesday. We named him Dakota after the state of mind we've been in since our trip out west. He's a real handsome dude with a deep rich bark that only happens when the pizza man rings the bell. One or two barks to let them know we are coming to the door. Wife took him to the vet today and they say he's a year old and might have a bit of hound in his lineage. Looks all Labrador to me but there must be something that she sees that looks like hound. He and the cat seem to be getting along just fine except when he sniffs her into his nose and out his mouth. She don't like that game. He took turns sleeping in all of our rooms the past two nights. Camps out in front of Margaret's room a lot to keep her safe while she dreams. The house feels right again. -Itsall A. Dogsworld
