If you must quote somebody, do so properly by drawing readers' attention to the fact.

The way you presented Joe Cortina's last portion of his open letter to Bush was quite improper, if not mischievous or so it would seem.

You have, whether by design or due to sheer carelessness, made it look like I had written that passage myself and you were responding accordingly to it.

So you wish to "metamorphose" into the proverbial ostrich that buries its head in the sand.......?

or, alternatively,
