1. Where are the numbers, where are the stats?

2. I don't know about Canada's demographics but older people require more healthcare so as the US's babyboomers get into their 60s, healthcare costs will rise. When the boomers are replaced by the babybusters, the costs will go down again.

If the US government stops subsidizing corn maybe we can get obesity-related chronic diseases under control.

3. Medicare costs something like 2% to administer.

4. There is nothing 'liberal' about corruption or incompetence. There is plenty about rightwinger ideology that is about corruption and incompetence though.

5. You talk in anecdotes and opinions...where are the numbers?
