No one has been worse on national security than Bush-Cheney. Look at the results. The first year he totally ignored real threats and let 9-11 happen. The second year he started off well in Afghanistan then let Osama go and called off the hunt. The third year he got us into a terrible quagmire in Iraq and lied about why he had to do it. Since then our military has been gradually decimated and Bush's policies have created much more dangerous foes like extremist rule in Iran and Hamas in Palestine than existed before. Plus we are losing Afghanistan again and Osama is actually protected by a Bush ally.

Kerry for one would have run a much smarter war on terror, at a fraction of the cost but with many more actual terrorists killed or caught. And no quagmire in Iraq.

Bush has lost it in Iraq. It's hopeless now thanks to his pisspoor planning and refusal to admit it. But someone did win Bush's war - Halliburton, El Sadr, Iranian extremists, Al Qaida, Exxon and the Saudis.
