I heard yesterday that there was a buzz in the republican party that Rove said there would be an October surprise. I wonder if this is it.

It does seem kind of curious that Bush said almost nothing about Bin Laden for a long time and then in a recent speech mentioned him 16 times.

One problem is verifying this rumor. Absent seeing his head on a spike many will have their doubts.
