Pres Bush's achievements in the War on Terror in Afghanistan & Iraq: Afghanistan: -- Removed the oppressive Taliban from power. Destroyed al Qaeda training camps and forced them to relocate. Women are now free to attend school and work. More homes have running water, electricity, better paying jobs and a better economy. Iraq: -- Removed a dangerous dictator from power. Eliminated barbarian Zarqawi. Gave the country the most advanced power grid and water treatment facilities in the world. All homes will have running water, electricity and phone service. Schools reopened. Challenges:--The cowardly insurgents hide in cities and dress like civilians. They ruthlessly slaughter innocent non-combatants while US soldiers often endanger their own lives in order to protect civilians. More of Bush's War on Terror successes:--Disrupted al Qaeda's financial network. Democracy is making its way through the Mid-East. Huge voter turnout for democratic elections in the past 5 years. How is this a failure? The left is not a "Hate America" crowd as much as it's a "Hate Bush" crowd which is self-destructive for America. The left says they hate war, but have created one right in our own backyards. They have pitted us against ourselves and for what? Political gain and to try to win back power in the Senate, House and White House. If Democrats win back power this country will fall apart. Their proposed cut and run from Iraq tactic will open America for more attacks. We'll be seen as cowards and the Islamic savages will be emboldened. We need to stay the course. How about GW's approval rating hitting 44% this past week? Why do you think it's increasing? Answer--Because he stands his ground and vows to keep America safe.
