Yes, I know, people bitch all the time. But it's population statistics that tell the real story. Here are the results of some quick google research I did on Canadian life expectancy:

25 years ago: In 1970-72 males 69 years, females 76 years

14 years ago: In 1990-92 males 75 years, females 81 years

today : In 2006 males 77 years, females 84 years

Looks pretty impressive progress to me.
