DMA, It was before. Ralph Nader's book, "Unsafe at Any Speed," was published in 1965. Ernie Kovacs met his utility pole in 1962.

The Corvair had its share of mechanical problems, as have many cars over the years, up to and including today's automotive wonders (as evidenced by the constant round of factory/dealer recalls).

The Corvair was not the only vehicle Mr. Nader took to task in his infamous book. - Holly
