I don't think Nader's or anyone else's criticism could have stemmed the stampede for the "Pony Car."

An old beau of mine maybe twenty years back drove a lovingly preserved Mustang convertible. He loved that car. Second only to the Ferrari, that is. I never had a taste for it but I recognize its popularity. I never had a taste for the Ferrari, either. Perhaps that was because a little bit of a thing like me couldn't get close enough or have enough leg power to get the clutch down. I physically couldn't drive it. Plus the fact that you had to tune it practically each time you drove it. <g>
