Of course we'd pay higher taxes for universal health care. I doubt we'd spent 4 trillion, since at least thirty percent of that is lost to overhead, some of that overhead being insurance company flack clerks finding ways to DENY CARE to the insured. But it would be worth it, and a generous thing to do for all Americans. I'd much rather pay for that than the chimp Nero's pointless war - wouldn't YOU?

Several studies have been done that show our corporations are at a competitive disadvantage having to provide healthcare to their employees compared with countries that provide universal healthcare. Some are even advocating universal healthcare now.

I'm a diabetic too, one who has payed for my insulin and prescriptions retail OUT OF POCKET, so don't whine to me about what you pay with your deductibles. If you think you pay a lot, add up what your costs would be RETAIL..

Boo Hoo!
