In the area of free speech, which I would expect "all" moderators to support, the biggest pretenders are the greatest offenders. By that I mean, those who would pretend to be broad minded are actually the ones most apt to restrict opinions with which they do not agree.

What is really offensive about some moderators is their propensity to simultaneously ban and place on ignore without any reasonable attempt at explanation.

"Go start your own thread", is at best, a weak and worthless attempt at justifying a ban or an ignore IMO.
