Your argument implies that the cost of top-of-the-line notebook will drop $2500 because a MediaGX chip is used instead of an Intel chip.

Since a Pentium MMX costs $200 to $500 (depending on speed), how can the cost go down by $2500? If Intel gave the Pentium away for FREE, the price would only drop by the cost of the Pentium, ($500 maximum).

Your allegation seems to suggest that your flawed logic applies to not only your investment decisions but to your lack of simple common sense.
