Brian - Re: "AMD and Cyrix are subpoenaed to provide evidence of the unfair business practices "

One of the documents that will surface is the Compaq purchase order to AMD for tens of thousands of K5's in 1995.

Why did AMD refuse to sell these to Compaq, giving Compaq no choice but to buy "equivalent" product from Intel?

Compaq will be forced to address this issue - explaining that their corporate survival depended upon receiving saleable product - and said product was only available from Intel.

This same scenario will be repeated by many PC customers. Cuurently, customers of AMD are not receiving adequate K6 supplies due to yield problems. How do these customers stay in business? They buy from Intel, which invested in the proper resources and can help out AMD customers in their time of need.

Under close scrutiny, Intel will be revealed for what it is - a competent and successful company that supports their customers and their competitor's customers.
