OQO Announces Strategic Appointments Addressing Company’s Rapid Growth

New SVP of Marketing and Alliances and VP of Sales Bolster Management Team

SAN FRANCISCO, September 19, 2006 -- OQO Inc., leader of the UMPC-Pro market and creator of the world’s first smallest fully-functional Windows XP computer today announces that it has named Bob Rosin as the senior vice president of marketing and alliances, and Fred Bowes as the vice president of worldwide sales. These two strategic appointments further confirm OQO’s growth in the mobile PC market and position the company to address its rapid growth through 2006 and beyond.

Rosin joined OQO in 2002 as senior vice president of business development and has played various integral roles managing sales, business development, venture fund raising, and corporate development. In his new position, Rosin will lead all marketing programs at OQO in the rapidly evolving UMPC-Pro marketplace, including product management, product marketing, marketing communication, demand generation, and other campaigns. Additionally, Rosin will continue his efforts to identify, develop, and lead strategic partner initiatives for OQO.

Prior to joining OQO in 2002, Rosin was founder and president of Bang Networks, Inc, a provider of networking technologies enabling enterprises to develop and deploy real-time web applications. Previously, he worked in Japan as a program manager for Sony’s interactive set-top box products. Rosin speaks fluent Japanese and holds seven patents related to network technologies and user interface. He has a B.A. degree Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University and an M.B.A from Harvard Business School, where he won the Dubilier Prize for Entrepreneurship.

“It has been a privilege to experience the development of the company from an initial core group of dedicated engineers with a powerful vision, to a vibrant business with award-winning products and thousands of corporate and individual customers – it is further satisfying to see major industry players now recognizing this category as one of the few greenfield growth sectors in the PC industry,” said Rosin. “I am honored to take on a larger role within OQO to continue to drive innovation and to increase awareness among the mobile professionals and mobile workers for whom we have designed our products.”

“Bob has been at the heart of OQO’s growth and success. His leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and deep industry knowledge have had a “Midas” effect on OQO. We look forward to further leveraging Bob’s talents in his new role as SVP of marketing and alliances,” said Jay Shiveley, CEO of OQO. “The addition of Fred Bowes is another feather in our cap,” continued Shiveley. “His repeated success at growing sales organizations and his executive management acumen will help OQO maintain and grow our leadership in the UMPC-Pro market.

Fred Bowes brings over 21 years of executive sales and general management experience. Prior to joining OQO, Bowes worked for seven years at Dell, where he drove over a billion dollars in sales for Dell’s Public and France divisions. Most recently, Bowes served as general manager of Dell's five country Southern Cone territory (Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Uruguay), where he doubled revenues and achieved triple digit profit growth within two years. He has an additional fourteen years of corporate IT solution selling experience with Entex, Government Technology Solutions, and Intelligent Electronics. Bowes speaks fluent French and Spanish, and holds a B.A. from Pomona College.

“When you consider OQO’s many strengths as a company, including capacity to continually innovate, achieve rapid growth, and lead the industry in a new category, it’s clear that we have an opportunity to aggressively accelerate the company’s development,” said Bowes. “I am very pleased to join such a visionary company and look forward to being a part of the many good things to come.”
