They wanted it to happen just the way Roosevelt wanted Pearl Harbor to happen to finally get us into WWII. We broke the Japanese code and knew an attack was planned. That is why our fleet sailed South away from Pearl leaving only ships that were due to be scrapped within two years. Bush/Cheney knew something would happen to eventually get us to attack Iraq. Probably figured a plane hijacking...shooting of a few hostages etc. Had no idea the scope of the attacks. As in Pearl Harbor the people were expendable for the common cause. Sad. jon
