"Admin claims moderators HAVE lost moderation privileges"

In any case, irrelevant. The crime is in all the moderators that have been allowed to abuse lawful members of SI without any accountability whatsoever. Members are not informed but must find out when their post fails to post. There is no explanation given. And there is no appeal to a rational objective authority (such as Admin).

Clearly Admin does not wish to spend the day arbitrating kindergarten fights, and I cannot blame them. So let them stop enabling bullies. Let the TOU stand for what they were intended--reasonable and rational guidelines to adult behavior in a virtual community. Bullies are for the kindergarten world--not for the adult experience. The need to ban and control people not in violation of TOU is simply infantile. Is this hard for anyone to understand?

The only "gated communities" should be crowbar gated communities for those in serious violation of TOU several times. These people could be given a separate category where they could participate with their own kind. Before long Admin would have very little maintenance to do.
