Boy, you could do all sorts of things with that if there's is still a way to get boats down from Point Clements. May not even have to use that dam scheme. Just anchor generators on the ocean floor and let the tide spin them.
The island as a whole needs to think about something. It's probably too expensive for any one community, or for everybody to stick a small wind generator on the roof. But if things do go bad, how long before this little island off the coast isn't important enuf to get electricity from the grid?
