Gerard: While I would be VERY cautious about buying Univec in light of its staggering volatility, the aggressive approach undertaken by WHO/UNICEF bodes very well for Univec's future. In short, if there ever was a case of '..news we were waiting for', this was it.

When I spoke with the CFO a number of months ago, he indicated Univec had returned to supplying syringes of its own design from Univec's contracted production facilities. One of these suppliers will soon be replaced/changed to a source closer to the company's Long Island base. The company is also planning to construct an entirely new manufacturing plant in the near future. All of this information is available in Univec's SEC documents (beware that when accessing 'SEC filings' through the Yahoo quote server, info about 'Universal Capital Group' is likely to appear. This is due to a problem with the EDGAR database. Access 'EDGAR Online' from the first document that appears - this will bring up Univec's filings. EDGAR has partially fixed this confusion and continues to work on it).

I've yet to see a press release about a 29 Sept. meeting with analysts.
