Yes, it has paid for itself many times over for me too. I would never have got into Home Depot and Lowes as housing crash bets if Grant hadn't done that piece on Kingfisher (?) the UK equivalent of Home Depot. I don't think SI has private boards. Too bad, would be nice to be able to talk openly about Grant's picks. Maybe we could have a statute of limitations - anything over 6 months old is fair game? Or maybe we have a secret code to refer to each pick? My biggest frustration with Grant's is that I can't get act on a lot of his recommendations. That recent piece on buying CDS was such a tease. That's what I want to be doing. But instead I'm limited to buying puts on homebuilders and mortgage lenders. And I can't short Greek sovereign debt either. Anybody buy these agriculture stocks that Grant likes? I always think these things would be great to get into for the long term. But then I get distracted trying to make a quick buck.
