(CCH) Did Copper Rand just double in size?

The Copper Rand report (one of the 3 reports I now see on Sedar) has a new revelation.

They list the known Resources in the 3 resource categories (measured, indicated, and inferred). The Copper Rand mine plan in the prospectus only refers to Proven and Probable Reserves.

I think this is the first time we are seeing Resource estimates for Copper Rand

Clarification:
So as to not confuse anyone, the new Corner Bay project is at the stage of Resource identification only. Copper Rand, which is already in production, has had clearly identified Reserves for quite some time. The Prospectus was the first place I saw the Copper Rand reserves in a table. And now this document (just filed) is the first place I am seeing a discussion of Copper Rand Resources (as opposed to reserves).

Folks, I don’t have much time here, this is a ballpark preliminary comment. But it looks like we have another 1.3 million tons of ore at Copper Rand, in these categories. Some of this ore has a gold grade of 0.10 oz/ton. Considering that Copper Rand is a primary copper mine, and the gold production can be modeled with a production cost of ZERO (it’s a byproduct), this is HUGE NEWS!

This could mean another 4-5 years of production from Copper Rand, once those Resources are classified as reserves.

The total potential of Copper Rand may have just doubled.

And that’s before the new drilling that will start. Campbell is very excited about that new drilling.

By the way, there is an excellent diagram of the Copper Rand (and Cedar Bay) deposits on the Campbell website, and in the Prospectus.
