There is political in-fighting in CAN, is there not? I remember Pres Reagan & your PM at that time were great friends. Vaguely remember a PM whose personal life made headlines for a few yrs. Your last French-speaking PM was quite hostile to the U.S., was he not?... however, my understanding is the current PM is a much friendlier neighbor. Thought you might be interested in my general impressions from many hundreds of mi away.

P.S. I've visited Niagara-on-the-Lake few yrs ago--it's really charming and we plan to return someday.
