"The solution to the Social Security morass is to eliminate any special Congressional retirement benefits and put them into the Social Security system." Hell of a good idea! Should have been done a LONG TIME ago! "Something tells me that it would take a Constitutional Amendment." NOPE! No Constitution diddling required! Just a simple bill will do it (probably happen the day Hell freezes over....) Thus the need for a Constitutional Amendment. It makes it harder for folks to ignore.
