I found an article in the CS Monitor that talks about this although it is 2 years old. csmonitor.com My opinion is that live and let live. If new immigrants want to come to Canada they must live by Canadian rules and not by their religious laws except where the law of the land contravenes Gods laws in which case Gods laws are supreme. This is exactly what Christians believe..pay Caesars things to Caesar and obey God as ruler rather than men. The problemis that Canada brings people from other religious beliefs into Canada and tries to force others to accept that they think they are entitled to special treatment..I say this is rubbish. If they don't like Canadian laws then they shouldn't come here because there is no way that Canadians are going to stand for newcomers changing our laws and values. I have a question. I used the term Paki as an abbrevtion on another thread and was called a racist by someone. This has made me completely re-evaluate how I feel about foreigners coming to Canada. I now longer see them as an asset to us if this is what our society has come to. I deal with people from Islamic countries in business all the time and have no realproblem although often I suspect they hate whites. But when a white person calls me a racist en.wikipedia.org thats where I draw the line. This was on another thread here on SI and not a political one. The person suggested that his family members would assault me and I was banned by a friend who moderated the thread although he states it was because we didn't keep it "off the air" but the other person is still posting on that thread. For this reason I have decided that I am going to stand up against this type of racism against whites and the threat of violence. This really made me think hard about what I believe. Had this person not made such an issue of this I may not have given this a second thought but now the way I feel is they can all go back where they came from if they hate whites and our way of life that badly. That said, it is NOT the business of the USA to police the world and the war on Iraq is camoflage for something more sinister namely neocons trying to foment a world war in order to wipe out Islam and this I am against. Like I said, live and let live but our Canadian government seems to think white should apologise for being white and this is nonsense
