Ted, JF, and all, King-Drew Medical Center once again in deep do-do:

latimes.com.

In short, King-Drew failed another inspection, despite having about a year and a half to fix their problems. Bye-bye $200M in federal funding, i.e. half their operating budget.

Why do they call it Drew now? Whose Drew?

I told you I went there after my big accident ten years ago. There was glass everywhere on me.......in fact, it was embedded in the skin of my forehead and kept popping out for a couple of months after the accident. In addition I also had a sliver of glass....about a half inch long.....sticking out of my left eye and resting on the optic nerve. The MDs had to take it out. At the time my cousin said I was very fortunate to have been taken to this hospital by the ambulance.....because King was known as the best trauma hospital in S. CA. and they knew exactly how to deal with my eye.

Its too bad......it sounds like its gone downhill.
