Keep the game going - I think that's the deal -

China has about 900 Billion in USD - why would they mess up their safety net ?

The US buys stuff from China, China buys US Bonds, then US investors invest in China so that China can make more stuff...

Japan gets to print money and slowly reflate, while keeping the yen low enough to maintain full employment for factory workers in Japan and hedge funds on Wall Street...not to mention some SI members.

This whole arrangement is a thing of beauty, the object of intense envy by the Europeans, the Russians, and the other parts of the world which have not been able to get on board.

I think we will all really miss this system when it is gone, much more than we can imagine now.

I expect a messy transistion to some unknown future arrangements - which may not settle down for a few years.

I know you don't want to participate... how much choice will we really have ?
