"Chinese military expenditures as a percentage of GDP = 4%. (Same as US.)"

But we have the world's largest economy. So, in 2004, WE spent 466 billion on the military, NOT counting the hundred billion spent in Iraq, while China spent 65 billion.

What a waste! All those billions spent toward death. But YOU feel safer!

We develop fighter aircraft superior to OUR last generation ( no one ELSE on earth is even close ) because we've sold OUR last generation of fighters to other countries. Do you see the illogic here? Is our military just a JOBS program? Why don't we rebuild NO instead?
