Around here, too. I went looking for a story from about 10 years ago, but couldn't find it. Did find out the son of a friend was busted for a DUI; his name popped up on google, and his dad is involved in this story; bought one of the houses. There was a big bust here abut 10 years ago. On the Hunt (yes, those Hunts) Ranch. Some cartel had set up a major growing scene. 8 or 10 houses on maybe 10K acres. When it was busted, the property went on the market, and a number of friends got places. One, who got the big house, said he could put in 8 bedrooms; no partitions inside. I think he got it, along with 20 acres for 200K. He said he talked to the fuel guy; the operation was run off generators. The delivery man was met by an armed guard and escorted around. After the bust, here was a huge generator; 5000 horse or something like that. Did the feds knock down a building to get it? No, they drained the oil and fired it up.
