This is what the piece said.

"The left is rooted in Marxism and the belief that the conflict between the haves and the have nots is the axis on which the world spins."

How would you reword it? You are allowed only one sentence.

"The right is rooted in self-determinism balanced by Judeo-Christian traditionalism."

I would challenge the word, "balanced." In theory maybe. In practice, the right is rooted in Judeo-Christian traditionalism with an occasional nostalgic wave at self-determinism.

but it's certainly right on point to argue that it's a temperament rather than a political philosophy with a movement.

I agree, too.

Way up-thread there was a discussion about the essence of centrism.

Until and unless centrists come up with a succinct ideology, I think it's about being moderate and unaffiliated and that "centrist" is a misnomer.
