Macaca Allen's only defender was a campaign operative. Obviously the guy has a long history of racism, even though he doesn't have the excuse of having grown up in a backward southern town. He had a very worldly background.

The new polls shows Webb, who is an excellent candidate whom Kerry has been helping a lot, has almost caught Allen. Allen looks stuck at 45% and even those voters might change their minds now. Nobody likes a racist.
