That to me is an example of lying with numbers. Cherry picking certain "facts", and then parlaying that to draw a conclusion that is not substantiated.

"As a result of these changes, the top 1% paid a larger share of the tax burden in 2004 than it did four years earlier, and the bottom 50 percent paid a smaller share."

This may or may not be true. He has not established the truth of it by what he has quoted above.
