Normally very slow months for sales due to upcoming holidays, kids in school, breadwinners settled into jobs. But this protracted real estate cycle has proven that there isn't any such thing as normal. I think people are on the bandwagon, so to speak, when it comes to buying their own homes. They see their family, friends and neighbors move out of rental units and into home ownership, and receive lots of advice from them and get creative solutions/offers from banks.

There are allot more homes for sale in my area that are staying on the market longer than they did just 6 months ago. It's a buyers market, but the sellers and the people they hire to sell them price them like it's a sellers market. My guess is they will have to come down some % points before a deal can be made.

Land is still precious here and is in a different category all together.

I think the market will remain neutral to med strong.....although I don't see large builders going out on the limbs they did 2 years ago.

Who doesn't want to own their own home?
