You obviously misunderstood. That doesn't say <you said that US workers in Toyota factories were making minimum wage. I'm sure there are some minimum wage workers, but not many in a high-capital value car factory I'll agree. Mostly robots!
In fact, in production jobs they start at $15/hr and range upward. Average Toyota labor charges = $43/hour (which includes benefits).

The USA didn't rebuild Japan. CB, that's absurd. Japanese people worked dawn to dusk and late into the night, for decades and did high quality work, and sold for cheap prices. The USA provided a constitution which has been voluntarily maintained for decades.
Also, you didn't rebuild Japan in your own image. Japan is very, very distinct from the USA. Oddly, it reminds me of Britain in the good old days, before massive immigration broke the queue and good manners.
Also, you didn't really destroy Japan. There was a great deal left and nearly all the people, though there was quite a ding in the male population of the fighting age group. Japan rebuilt itself - the USA didn't do it.
