old_tx, Whittier Energy (WHIT) -- I've blown out all but a small amount of my position in this stock. They've done good things in the field but the stock price just got way too disconnected with the fundamentals. Given that I desparately needed some short-term tax losses this year, I felt compelled to blow out the stock. I have found that, having booked a ton of taxable gains already this year, I have absolutely no patience for the stocks in my portfolio that have gone underwater.

As I said in my earlier post, I'm not too keen on the producers at this point, and this would include WHIT.
