Top CIA Official Says Bush Lied About Torture Law, Geneva Convention, Terrorist Trials

Tom Oliphant on the radio just reported he spoke to a high-level CIA old friend of his who says Bush is totally full of it with his claim that unless the senate legalizes torture the CIA can't continue their interrogations.

In fact, Bush-Cheney forced torture on the CIA in 2002 who didn't want any part of it and were doing fine without it. The CIA distrusts intel gleaned from torture and knows it's illegal and can come back to haunt them whenever one of their agents is captuired. Plus, the trials of the terrorists we've captured aren't anywhere near ready to go. And those terrorists were not caught as a result of any of Bush's illegal wiretapping programs. So Bush lied about all that too.
