You do know what "wars" ARE, don't you Itchy? We haven't had a "war" with Iran or Cuba. We WON Gulf War I, and drove Saddam out of Kuwait. Korea was at least draw, not a loss, as South Korea is till there.

As for winning the current war in Iraq, what does "winning" look like to YOU? If we end up with an Iran-allied government that hates the US and Israel, but it's democratically elected, that costs us hundreds of thousands of lives and a trillion dollars, will we have "won"?

I felt that reason had won against monkey chest-thumping when we walked away from Vietnam. History has proved me right. Leaving that mistaken war behind was a VICTORY for America.


You are right you didn't have a war with iran, they made the US look like fools without the US firing a bullet, so did Castro. So you lost prestige, honor and credibility. But those don't matter do they.
