Granted harper tabled a legislation to keep Canadian troops in a Nato force longer, but Canada is lead nation on that force thanks to Paul Martin. Harper has proposed to strengthen our military in order to defend our northern shores against the US using the passage that seems to be opening up to transport oil. Harper is working harder to defend Canada than martin ever did."
Get real Ichy, Harper had a real choice. Sure, Martin authorized it originally, years ago, when all of us were under illusions, but there is too much information available today to justify it's continuance.
As far as Harper strengthening our border against the US, I must say, you surely jest. That is the biggest, non funny joke I have ever heard. The US spends 500 billion annually....again, get real.
I'm not into a long discussion on this, if you want to drink the cool aid, go for it, but I suggest that someday you will regret it. |
