I think we can all think of things that would cause more actual suffering than destroying the White House or the Capitol or the CIA, but terrorists go for the PR value, how it will look on Al Jazeera.
And they've got a point. We have lots of hydro facilities, lots of nuclear plants, lots of ports, but only one White House and only one Capitol building. Symbolic value is high.
Anyway, go ahead and grow your veggies, but as a dietary supplement, I hope you're not planning on living on them. I have been reading about the Jamestown colonies recently, if it hadn't been for the Indians trading food for trinkets and then later the colonists learning how to grow and sell tobacco, which grows well around here, they wouldn't have survived.
The solitary life is poor, nasty, brutish and short. We need to live in productive groups with a division of labor. |
