I think it goes on all over the world, only it's easier to get away with in rural areas in countries with spotty police forces.

I have heard, over the years, from reliable eye-witneses that, in Southern Thailand, just across from the Thai-Malaysia border, young girls (14 - 18) while working in the rice fields, were available on call to the johns in the hotels nearby. Typically the girls were brought straight from the rice fields to the hotels on motorbikes, or trishaws, and mud and clay were often visible on their arms and legs! Also, a mother was seen soliciting customers for her two young girls, aged 12 and 14. Whether the girls were hers or adopted or bought is another story. She would not name a price. But if she was satisified with a john's offer, she would let him have the girl, and no time limit was set!!! Incredible but true and very sad indeed !
