I agree.

(But, there have been LOTS of wars where *both* sides CLAIMED that they had 'God on their side': WW I, WW II, the American Civil War, the Spanish American War, War of the Roses, etc., etc., etc. It's an OLD pattern unfortunately, that leaders often try to invoke God's blessing on their little bloody enterprises....)

I prefer the famous answer that President Lincoln gave when a minister was over for dinner at the WH and led a prayer before the meal, calling for God's blessing on the war. Lincoln replied that he'd rather see that *he* was doing God's will, then the other way around....)
