The Irish Wheaten in show form should weigh 40 lbs. My dog is now 7 years old and has gained a little, up to about 42 pounds. He is so strong he can CHOMP through a leg bone of a cow in ONE BITE. As you know they are intensely loyal to their owners and make the best watchdog one can imagin. A wheaten doesnt bark unless something is going on. They say, when a Wheaten barks you should be careful. I've seen my dog stand in front of another dog barking his head off and just stare at him, not saying a word. jdn
