Raising the minimum wage simply reduces the number of jobs available. There were all kinds of jobs that are now done by machines that simply disappear every time you raise the minimum wage. OTOH the Estate tax, is simple to get around, simply distribute the estate prior to death, or as the really rich do put it into a trust, or move it offshore. Putting children on as co-owners of bank accounts means that at death the child simply owns the money, no probate, no taxes nothing. But go ahead, they are both popular with the Liberals......
