This is one of the more useful charts at that site marktaw.com Percentage of GDP is a more important measure of debt than inflation adjusted per capita dollars, and far more important than total nominal dollars. This one is potentially useful as well marktaw.com It apparently includes more than the just the official federal debt. Because the official debt is not that high.
