Sarge We know all that. We know that there is no Social Security surplus. We know that huge trade and budget deficits, enormous and unfunded SS and Medicare liabilities and a 9 trillion dollar national debt will haunt this country in the future and have an ugly impact on the futures of our children and grandchildren. The craven pols we send to D.C. won't do anything about SS because anyone who tries will be tossed out of office in the next election. It is the third rail of American politics.
