Coup is intended to loot the money of Thaksin not to disturb the populace.

There ate three levels in all countries in the world.

The level (1) where the power is

The level (2) where the business and people who implement what the power tell them to do. Thaksin or no Thaksin this level has just to do what the power (level above them) tells them to do. They obey since they leave off the little power that the level above them delegates to them.

The level (3) of the populace lives. You are here. So the populace just gets a discount of a few cents of the Baht (Satang I supposed) and get away with their survival.

Take the US. They have had over 230 years to perfect their system. It worls flawlessly.

The level (1) where the power is. And Washington creates in the minds of people the country is a free market and power is with the people and other things school kids are taught.

The level (2) where the business and people who implement what the power tell them to do.

The level (3) of the populace lives.

Of course being much more sophisticated and with more money than Thailand they have better mechanisms to implement the same thing that the junta does.
