Oh, I definitely miss many things about how the thread used to be back in those days... there was a lot of solid work going on - from intraday pattern analysis, and all the way to very long term philosophical discussions. Also, a lot of sentiment work was taking place, from the shortest and all the way to the longest time frames.

What happened then was - 1st, the decision - by Allan - to start analyzing individual issues (at the expense of indices)... and his consequent departure... and then, of course, trading equities led to using options. And since one can't seriously trade options based on intraday data, this led to tabooing of intraday charts.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the thread, and the current crop of regulars are a great group, and plenty of good and stimulating ideas keep coming up... but still, for anyone who is interested in serious Elliott Wave-based trading - at least as related to indices and futures - this place is really no longer a "must see" destination.
