I agree with your story line to an extent:

Elmer explained how he got to 7M without rebuttal. Whether it's 6 or 7M in 60 days, that is plain good imo - it's starting to get significant. Q4 it will be reasonably significant. OTOH they're loosing share in servers and with Dell and Founder and that trend is unlikely to stop in Q4 just considering current announcements.

Also Otellini at least made some good decisions of which CMW and a more equal pricing structure are temporary results.
