I believe the Judge ruled that damages from foreign countries are outside US jurisdiction. That according to AMD's interpretation, Intel disagrees. So far, it is not known if actions in Foreign countries that cause damages in the US are applicable. Again, both AMD and Intel disagree on this interpretation. As you would expect, Counsel for both sides are posturing. It is a fact that AMD is suing Intel for damages in Japan the number was originally put at 50 million. Don't know if it changed. This is a jury trial. That alone should let everyone know that it will be near impossible to predict how it wil go. Also, arguing the merits of each side on a message board is a waste of time. Nobody here is a lawyer, none are privy to the details found in discovery, and more is yet to be revealed, as the good stuff will come out the trial. We should all agree to disagree on this issue. Also, there are investigations ongoing, that have yet to be decided, namely the EU and Korea.
