I'd rather have American leaders who SERVE the people rather than enrich themselves at the expense of the people. I'd rather have American leaders who respect our constitution rather than a cowboy who lambasts Putin for trampling on Democratic rights and acquiring more Presidential power, while Bush himself does the very same thing. Presidents now have unprecedented power to trample on the rights of every day citizens. Bush has placed us on the proverbial slippery slope. I honestly, and perhaps naively, still believe that he and Laura are good enough people that they will continue to do what they believe is right and will focus most of their administrations power on going after fanatical Muslim terrorists. But what happens when someone less picky comes along and uses those same Presidential powers to silence any kind of dissent by declaring you or I unlawful combatants?

If our Supreme Court doesn't strike down some of this President's power, we are in deep shit. WHERE IS THE F__ING ACLU WHEN WE NEED THEM MOST? Oh sorry, they're busy ensuring that our kids don't say their Pledge of Allegiance "under God". Folks, we're in trouble and many of today's citizens either are too blind or too uneducated to know we're in trouble.
