You are correct about Dean. I find it difficult believe he has such a high position in the DNC, but I am tempted to believe that he is there to attract the those outside the mainstream. Not a great way to run an organization as it dilutes any serious position platforms. I don't think it is a great idea. Seems to me, the DNC has the whacko vote anyway and it would be more constructive to play to a more grounded, yet smaller tent.
