I have been asking around and some opinions are that GMOs increase our agricultural competitiveness with little or no reason to have negative concerns.

One concern some have is around the future impacts of GMO regulations (mostly backed by corporate America). Could these laws force organic farmers and other small diverse agricultural businesses out of the market, similar to how historical regs had a negative impact on family farms.

My inkling is to think we will have a greater diversity of options in the future but the opinions on this topic are starting to heat up.
